- 3. Compression Molding & Machining (Complex Profiles):For thicker or highly complex profiles where ram extrusion is not suitable, compression molding is used to create a "billet" or thick sheet.
- Compaction: Pre-weighed UHMWPE powder is poured into a mold cavity.
- Heating & Pressing: The mold is heated to 180°C to 200°C and compressed under pressures of 5 MPa to 15 MPa for an extended dwell time.
- Annealing: The profile or block is slowly cooled under pressure to prevent shrinkage or delamination.
- 4. Post-Processing: Extruded or molded profiles undergo finishing operations such as precision cut-to-length sizing, drilling of mounting holes, and edge chamfering.
